Terms of Service

1. Service Agreement

By booking a cleaning service with Doctor Sterile ("we," "us," "our"), you ("client," "you," "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. We provide residential and commercial cleaning services in the Gainesville, Florida area and surrounding communities. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Doctor Sterile. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use our services.

2. Services & Scope

The scope of cleaning services is determined at the time of booking based on the service level selected (e.g., Quick Clean, Full Clean, Deep Clean), property size, and any special instructions provided. We reserve the right to decline or modify service scope if conditions at the property differ materially from what was described at booking (e.g., hoarding conditions, hazardous materials, pest infestations, or conditions that pose a health or safety risk to our team).

3. Pricing & Estimates

Prices listed on our website and provided during the booking process are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary based on the actual condition, size, and scope of work required. We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time. Any price changes for recurring services will be communicated in advance. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

4. Scheduling & Cancellation

  • Bookings can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment at no charge.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service price.
  • No-shows (failure to provide access at the scheduled time without notice) may be charged the full quoted price.
  • We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate last-minute schedule changes but cannot guarantee availability.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to weather, emergencies, staffing, or other circumstances beyond our control.

5. Satisfaction & Re-Clean Policy

We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with specific items within the scope of the service performed, contact us within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean the affected area at no additional charge, subject to the following conditions:

  • Re-cleans address items within the original scope of the booked service only.
  • Re-cleans do not cover pre-existing conditions, permanent stains, damage, or areas outside the original service scope.
  • Requests must be made within 24 hours of service completion.
  • This policy constitutes your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with cleaning quality.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit and debit cards processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card information on our servers. Invoices for recurring clients are issued upon completion of each service and are due upon receipt unless other terms are specified. Late payments may be subject to a late fee. We reserve the right to suspend service for accounts with outstanding balances.

7. Liability & Damage

We carry liability insurance to cover eligible incidents that occur during the course of our cleaning services. In the event of damage to your property during a cleaning:

  • Please notify us in writing within 48 hours of the service, including photos and a description of the damage.
  • We will assess all reported damage and work to resolve valid claims in a timely manner.
  • Our liability is limited to the actual replacement cost or repair cost of the damaged item, up to a maximum of $500 per incident, or the amount covered by our insurance policy, whichever is less.
  • We are not liable for damage to items that are inherently fragile, improperly installed, already damaged, or in poor condition; damage caused by normal wear and tear; or damage to items not disclosed to us prior to cleaning.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

8. Access, Security & Client Responsibilities

All team members undergo background screening. You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring safe, clear access to the areas to be cleaned at the scheduled time.
  • Securing valuables, cash, jewelry, sensitive documents, and irreplaceable items before our arrival.
  • Informing us of any pets, alarm systems, access codes, or special access instructions.
  • Disclosing any known hazards, including mold, pest infestations, biohazards, or structural concerns.
  • Ensuring that surfaces, fixtures, and flooring are in a condition suitable for standard cleaning methods.

We are not responsible for loss of items not secured prior to service, or for conditions that were not disclosed to us before the appointment.

9. Gift Certificates & Referral Credits

Gift certificates are non-refundable after purchase and have no cash value. They may be applied toward any service we offer and do not expire. Referral credits are earned when a referred client completes their first paid cleaning. Credits are applied to future services and cannot be redeemed for cash. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the referral program at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Doctor Sterile's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. In no event shall Doctor Sterile be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doctor Sterile, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these terms, your failure to disclose relevant property conditions, or your negligence.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alachua County, Florida. Before filing any legal action, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for a period of at least 30 days.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active clients via email.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
